Who we are

Lumka (lumka.ai) is operated by TecDeon, Inc. ("TecDeon", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you watch AI short dramas or create your own on Lumka, how we use it and the choices you have. TecDeon is responsible for your personal information under this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account information. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from the account you sign in with.
  • Generator content. The story ideas you write, any material you add, and the videos Lumka AI makes for you ("Creations").
  • Purchases. If you buy a paid feature, our payment providers process your payment details. We receive a record of the purchase, such as the amount, date and order ID, but never your full card number.
  • Messages. What you send us when you contact support.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage information. Pages you visit, Dramas and Episodes you watch, and actions you take on Lumka.
  • Device information. Your browser and device type, IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address, and language settings.

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • provide Lumka, including streaming Dramas and generating your Creations;
  • keep you signed in and remember your preferences;
  • process purchases and send service messages about your account;
  • understand how Lumka is used so we can fix problems and improve the site;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and violations of our Terms of Service;
  • comply with legal obligations.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and count page views so we can understand how Lumka is used. We do not use cookies to show you advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as staying signed in, may not work without them.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only:

  • with service providers that host Lumka, deliver video, process payments and measure site usage, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us;
  • when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Lumka, our users or others;
  • as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information;
  • with your permission.

Your Creations are private to your account and are not shown to other users.

How long we keep information

We keep account information while your account is open. We keep Generator content only as long as needed to provide the Generator, and delete it when you delete it or close your account. We keep usage and device information for a limited period, and purchase records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to receive a copy of it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in running and protecting Lumka, to comply with the law, and with your consent where required. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

International transfers

TecDeon is based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect information transferred from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections, access controls and time-limited media links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Lumka is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe someone under 18 has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will give notice on Lumka or by email.
